To renovate your place

Remember how to find your place? Well, to find it is just the beginning and I’m not kidding… After we saw (our-to-be) apartment and we have agreed that this is the place we were looking for, we went through dozens of administrative-law-bank troubles. So, in brief, at the beginning of May last year, we bought our first (hope not least) brand new apartment. Right after that, we went on a vacation to Amsterdam. Really good timing, yeah! But our trip was planned a long time ago before we even knew we’re going to find our place, so no matter what, we enjoyed a really good time there. Amsterdam is great place, honestly, I would love to go there again. But I will tell you that story later. Getting back in Sofia reality hit us hard. We were supposed to organize everything without knowing anything. Together with that, it was also necessary to figure it out what exactly we wanted. And you know what? It is actually harder to define that than to find the right people to do it. Or maybe this was the hardest thing for us, cause rest of the people knows exactly what they want. We didn’t 🙂 (do I mention that I’m trying to be adult, but I’m not really good at it? I’m serious. Spend at least couple of days Read More

Zucchini souffle

My office was in one of the most popular and nicest places in Sofia –  Iztok district. Iztok means East in English, and the name have not been chosen just like that – Iztok is great, shiny place to work, live and have fun. There is also one more thing for Iztok – it is one of the most expensive districts in Sofia. Working there is great cause of the location (great public transport), numerous of green areas (parks and gardens) and last, but not least – there are a lot of food corners, restaurants, cafes and shops. You can work and meanwhile complete a lot of your daily to-dos in your lunch break (like shop, pay bills, use carrier, go to hairdresser or have a cup of coffee with friends). One of the things you can not do is to save money. But you can actually gather a lot of good ideas how to find (or prepare) something cheap 🙂  I had zucchini souffle in one of my lunch breaks couple of weeks ago, so I thought it is a good idea for a healthy dinner. Souffle sounds bit fancy and tricky, but it is actually something easy – if I’m capable to do it – everyone is 🙂 What you need: zucchini (~ 500-600 grams /  2 or 3 zucchini) – up 2 to 3 BGN per kilo cheese (~200-300 grams) –  7 to 10 (or more) BGN per kilo yellow cheese  (~ 150-200 grams) – 10 to 15 (or more) BGN per kilo 3 eggs Read More
